Supplier of attachments celebrates company anniversary

50 years of stabau – half a century of growth and innovation

On September 21, stabau proudly looks back on five decades of success. Since its founding in 1974, stabau has developed, manufactured and sold attachments, stationary installations and telescopic forks for intralogistics. In the future, the company would like to work more closely with its partner and parent company HUBTEX and also market its products internationally.

From small beginnings in the 1970s, stabau is now a formidable player with almost 200 employees working at the 27,000 m² company premises in Meschede in the Sauerland region. In order to meet the increasing demands of the market, stabau has steadily expanded its corporate infrastructure over the past 50 years. In the 1980s, not only was the administration building enlarged, but new halls were also built for production and machining as well as for cutting and material storage. New halls were also added in the following years, for example for telescopic fork production or large equipment production.

Pioneer in the field of telescopic forks

In addition to expanding its infrastructure, stabau has also placed a strong focus on developing new equipment. For example, in 2001 the company was the first German manufacturer to introduce telescopic forks from the TGH series. The established telescopic forks have recently been redesigned. They are ideal for storing goods in double-depth racks and loading and unloading trucks from one side, and also enable the user to make optimal use of storage capacity. This year, stabau has expanded its range of telescopic forks to include the TGHF series, an ultra-flat telescopic fork.

The ZVP series with profile-guided fork adjustment is another new addition. In order to position itself as the market leader in additional areas of application in shaft-guided fork adjustment, the company has expanded its profile-guided version to include "integrated", "screwed fork" and "sideshift valve" variants. A total of five options are now available for adjusting the forks using hydraulic forced synchronization.

A growing association between stabau and HUBTEX

stabau also has big plans for the future. "Our 50th anniversary is not only a milestone, but also an incentive to continue our successful work in the coming years," says Stefan Huhn, Plant Manager at stabau. "In the future, we would like to work more closely with our partner HUBTEX, the world market leader in the field of electric multidirectional sideloaders and a manufacturer of special equipment for handling long, heavy and bulky loads."

stabau has been part of the HUBTEX Group since 2005. Now the two companies want to form an even closer relationship and make greater use of synergies. "Using the sales channels of the international subsidiaries in other European countries and in the USA is a particular focus," explains Hans-Joachim Finger, Managing Director of the HUBTEX Group. "Together, we want to open up new markets in these areas and also offer our customers stabau products. We are convinced that by using the international sales channels we can further boost sales of stabau products. After all, stabau attachments are already being used successfully in HUBTEX vehicles and special equipment around the world."
