Southeastern Freight Lines announced Avery Barnes has been promoted to breakbulk manager at the company’s breakbulk facility in Atlanta, Georgia.
Barnes began his career with Southeastern in 2012 as a freight handler at the Jacksonville service center in Florida. Over the years, he has held several key leadership positions, including linehaul dispatcher, weight and inspections inspector, front line supervisor, outbound operations manager, pickup and delivery operations manager and, most recently, assistant service center manager at the Atlanta breakbulk facility.

“Avery’s exceptional leadership has defined his 14-year career journey with our great company. His commitment to serving others is evident in his consistent success bolstering our culture, delivering quality service and enhancing operations in every role he has held,” said Seth Fetzer, vice president of operations at Southeastern Freight Lines. “I have no doubt he will continue to lead with integrity and passion, guiding our Atlanta Breakbulk facility to even greater success.”
Barnes and his wife, Jennifer, along with their three children, Levi, Reese and Brooks, are excited to continue serving the Southeastern team in this new capacity.
