Shodesh Shipping successfully handles record consignment

Shodesh Shipping & Logistic Company, Project Cargo Network members in Bangladesh, completed one of their biggest breakbulk consignments yet with the cooperation of their sister companies: Shodesh Shipping Line (Shipping Agent), Rusani Enterprise (Custom Broker) and Shodesh Carrier (Transport Company).

The consignment arrived at Chittagong Seaport aboard the vessel MV DIANA, carrying 106 containers which weighed a total of 3,334 tons and included 13,053 packages.

This bulk cargo is intended for the construction of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP), Bangladesh's first nuclear power plant. The cargo belongs to the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, the executor and three other official subcontractors of the RNPP.

Out of the 106 containers, 50 were Carrier Owned Containers (COC) and 56 were Supplier Owned Containers (SOC). A mass of 350 vehicles were used to deliver the cargo to the job site.
