Sealand: Genset Charge - Newark Import Refrigerated Cargo - CY Deliveries

Effective June 1, 2019 (based on origin cargo receipt), Sealand will implement a Genset Charge of USD 200 per container on all import operating refrigerated containers for CY delivery in Newark, NJ (except cold treatment cargo), that utilizes a Sealand provided genset.

Customers that elect not to use a genset, provide their own genset, or move with Sealand on a store door delivery basis, will not be subject to the charge.

Those not using a genset will particularly benefit through faster terminal turn-times, and reduce any delays due to supply constraints.
