Mar 03, 2020

Orlando, FL – Egis Projects, Inc. CEO Rosa Rountree has been appointed to the Transportation and Expressway Authority Membership of Florida (TEAMFL) Board of Directors as the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) Liaison.

TEAMFL was formed in 1997 to facilitate the exchange of information among toll agencies and the transportation industry. The membership is made up of board members and executive staff of eight statewide expressway and four transit authorities, the Florida Transportation Commission and more than 250 private sector transportation partners. As the TEAMFL IBTTA Liaison, Rountree will represent IBTTA and help align the organizations to ensure Florida transportation infrastructure remains one of the highest ranking in the nation.

“Rosa has been involved with both organizations for a long time. She brings an insightful and unique perspective to the board. I am looking forward to working with her on our common goal to drive Florida’s transportation infrastructure forward,” said Brady Nepple, TEAMFL Executive Director.

Rountree brings more than 20 years of financial, management and customer service experience to her position on the TEAMFL board. During that time, she has supported more than 14 toll agencies, transit projects and credential processing for commercial trucking. Rountree possesses an in-depth tolling perspective, having worked in the industry for nearly 20 years.

As CEO of Egis Projects since 2013, Rountree manages transportation business development initiatives, projects implementation and operations oversight in North America. Previously, Rountree was CEO of Egis Projects Canada, where she managed the first All Electronic Toll Collection system in British Columbia, the Golden Ears Bridge, serving nearly one million registered and unregistered customers and achieving an average annual customer satisfaction of 97 percent.

Prior to that, Rountree served as Executive Director of the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority, directing the agency’s daily operations and advising state and local municipalities on transportation policy decisions. Earlier in her career, Rountree held the position of Operations Manager with the Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority and managed EPass, one of the first electronic toll collection systems in the United States.

Rountree also serves on the MaaS America Advisory Committee, and recently served on the Executive Committee for the Transportation Research Board (TRB) and the Board of Directors for IBTTA.
