Port of Nansha offers free storage during CNY and COVID-19 environment

Jan 07, 2021

With the upcoming Chinese New Year Holidays and under the current environment of COVID-19, Port of Nansha has decided to further extend international container free storage during this period. As volumes continue to surge both inbound and outbound, Global Supply Chains are stressed so we decided to act to help customers inventory and containers remain fluid.

The following policies will be implemented below:

Further extension of free storage for general international containerized cargoes.

Policy provides that starting from January 10th, 2021 to February 28th, 2021, general laden containers (exclusive of DG, BBK, OOG, RF) entered into Port of Nansha, will enjoy 21-day free storage. (Non-overlap of the Policy and contracted free storage period)

Free storage for international empty containers. Policy provides that during January 1st, 2021 and February 28th, 2021, all international empty containers enjoy free storage at Port of Nansha. (exclusive of lumpsum empty containers)
