Poised for Growth, Logisticus Group Adds General Manager to Team

Logisticus Group (LG), a transportation logistics, project management and technology company, adds Peter Mierke to the team as general manager. Mierke will be responsible for the planning and execution of all projects. His role will be instrumental in driving momentum and growth for the company.

“Peter’s invaluable skillset will help us take the company to the next level,” said Vikash Patel, founder of Logisticus Group. “While many in the logistics industry have had a tough time during this unprecedented year, we have experienced 20% growth since March. The addition of Peter will give us a competitive edge in the marketplace.”

Prior to joining LG, Mierke served in several positions including most recently as general manager at Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas, inc. in Georgia. His career spans across different skill sets including operations, turbine manufacturing and plant manager including at GE. Mierke possesses a strong understanding of the PowerGen market, including supply chain. His focus is also on organizational behavior and talent. Mierke’s goals for this first year include a more standardized approach to projects, help to get better controls around execution and help projects be more scalable.

“I have worked with all five of the partners and I have been extremely impressed with what they have accomplished over the past eight years,” said Mierke. “When the opportunity arose to join the team, I jumped at it. I am excited to be a part of this team and help excel the company even further.”

Mierke also served in the Navy for seven years. He made the move to Greenville with his wife. Mierke has served on the Board of Advisors of the United Way and the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership at Georgia Tech.
