In view of the prevailing truck power shortage in the Group 4 locations and therefore a surge in haulage costs, an Emergency Haulage Surcharge (EHS), renamed and superseding the Emergency Intermodal Surcharge (EIS) announced on December 1, of $350 per container will be assessed to all general cargo destined to Group 4 locations served by Carrier’s in-house truckers, effective from January 2nd, 2021. This charge is to be paid at destination.
