Ohio Intermodal Services acquires 23-acre property in Hillard

May 14, 2021

Ohio Intermodal Services (OIS), a member of the IMC Companies family of brands, recently acquired a 23-acre property in Hillard, Ohio. With offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Marysville and Worthington, OIS is focused on providing container drayage for clients in the Ohio Valley.

Prior to being purchased by OIS, the 23-acre property was owned by The Stewart Corporation, the owners of TransInternational System, Inc.

OIS will operate on 10 acres of the property and is subleasing the remaining 13 acres to TRAC Intermodal. While the property is currently a shared lease facility between OIS and TRAC Intermodal, it will eventually become the location of Ohio Intermodal Services’ corporate offices.

“We’ve experienced extensive growth in our customer base, truck count, and facilities over the past several years,” says Barry Bernard, president of Ohio Intermodal Services. “This increase in acreage will allow us to continue to provide secured storage for our valued clients in the Columbus market and beyond.”
