North Carolina ports welcomes Ellerman City Liners

North Carolina Ports will welcome Ellerman City Liners to its growing rotation of services and carriers, beginning this month.

The bi-weekly United States Express (USX) service will expand NC Ports’ access to Northern Europe, including Antwerp, Belgium; Rotterdam, Netherlands; Tilbury, England. Domestically, along with Wilmington the service will call New York, NY and Jacksonville, Fl.

Combined with North Carolina Ports’ reputation for best-in-class service, this partnership offers our customers first class service to key European markets. North Carolina’s market is robust and continues to grow and we are pleased that carriers the caliber of Ellerman City Liners recognize the opportunity here.”

Based in the United Kingdom, Ellerman City Liners has deep roots in British maritime history, dating back to the company’s origins more than a century ago. Today, it is known for its speed and tailored supply chain solutions. Ellerman also offers North Carolina Ports customers an extended reach via its feeder network, including opening connections with Spain and Portugal.

Ellerman will make its inaugural call to the Port of Wilmington during the last week of December. It is anticipated the service will move to weekly calls in the new year.
