Norfolk Southern’s Bayles joins Containerization & Intermodal Institute’s Board of Directors

The Containerization & Intermodal Institute (CII) has announced the appointment of Randy Bayles, Group Manager, Ports at Norfolk Southern Corporation, to its Board of Directors for a three-year term.

“Randy has an impressive and extensive background in the industry. On behalf of our board of directors, comprised of industry leaders who represent different sectors of the supply chain, we look forward to Randy’s active involvement in our efforts to promote the value of containerization and intermodalism as well as the pursuit of our education mission,” said Steve Blust, President, CII.

Bayles brings to the role more than 35 years of supply chain and intermodal experience, including 22 years with Norfolk Southern, where today he is responsible for business development at all intermodal and automotive ports in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining Norfolk Southern, Bayles worked for such companies as Yellow Freight System, Roadway Package System and National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (NSCSA).
