NORDEN inks second logistics contract of 2025

Dec 17, 2025

Globally operating shipping company NORDEN has signed a logistics contract in Guinea with Africa Oil Supply (AOS), commencing in early 2026.

The project is the second logistics deal for NORDEN this year following a contract announcement in May with KMG in Australia and the third overall, including the project in Gabon with Comilog.

“We are grateful to our customer AOS for entrusting us to deliver this service for them,” says NORDEN CEO Jan Rindbo. “We’re also excited to bring our palette of services to Guinea, expanding our growing presence and brand across the African continent, in which we see significant potential.”

The contract sees NORDEN transporting bauxite on Panamax vessels from the Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinee (CBG) jetty out to the transshipment site, from where the cargo will be deployed onto Capesize vessels via floating cranes, before being transported to China.

“We’re pleased to begin delivery of phase one of the project for AOS, with phase two scoping in progress,” adds NORDEN’s Head of Logistics, William Wallace. “The agreement allows us not only to reduce freight for the customer as we will be using Capesize instead of Ultramax/Panamax vessels, but also an additional carbon emission reduction to the customer.”

NORDEN’s presence across the continent includes offices in Abidjan and Libreville and a recent expansion to Durban, via the acquisition of the South African cargo activities of Taylor Maritime.
