President & CEO Tamura delivering his message to new employees

"Congratulations to everyone on joining us. I am truly delighted to welcome you as new members of the MOL Group.

Today, I would first like to touch upon the current business environment. Tensions in the Middle East have been rising, and uncertainty in the surrounding waters, including the Strait of Hormuz, has further increased. At MOL, we are prioritizing the safety of our crewmembers above all else, while collaborating closely with relevant authorities and stakeholders to monitor the situation and take appropriate actions. Even under such unprecedented circumstances, our mission is to continue fulfilling our responsibilities as a provider of essential social infrastructure.

April 1 is also the date of our company's founding, and this year we celebrate the 142nd anniversary of our establishment. Throughout our long history, we have faced numerous changes in the business environment, overcoming each challenge and continuing to grow. Furthermore, today marks the beginning of Phase 2 of the MOL Group management plan, 'BLUE ACTION 2035.' The next five years will be critical to ensuring our group's continued growth.

The MOL Group is one of the world's leading shipping companies, operating approximately 940 vessels across a wide range of segments, including dry bulk carriers, chemical tankers, LNG carriers, car carriers, and containerships. In recent years, we have been boldly expanding into not only traditional shipping businesses but also entirely new business areas. As we compete in the global market, our business continues to diversify and become increasingly sophisticated.

In this environment, I strongly encourage each of you to develop a global perspective and grow into professionals who can fully demonstrate your capabilities. The MOL Group offers diverse career opportunities in areas such as sales, operations, procurement, finance, ship management, and accounting, enabling you to build your careers through experiences around the world.

In times of rapid change, each individual's commitment to grow while addressing new challenges directly translates into enhanced competitiveness for the company. I sincerely look forward to seeing you maximize your potential and work together to shape the future of the MOL Group."
