Neptune Pacific names Kristensen as new president

Dec 22, 2025

Neptune Pacific, the South Pacific’s leading shipping and logistics company, owned by privately held US-based The Wonderful Company, announced today that Kim A. Kristensen has been named its new president, effective 9 February 2026.

Kristensen brings more than 37 years of global shipping experience, most recently serving as senior vice president of Asyad Line LLC, where he launched a new container shipping line in the Middle East, significantly increasing revenue and delivering profit. Prior to that, he was managing director of B-Gas A/S, leading the Northwest European tanker operator to record results and consistent outperformance of market benchmarks. Earlier in his career, Kristensen spent 24 years with Maersk in multiple senior leadership roles across Europe, India and the Americas, driving growth in commodity and reefer trades, and leading operational transformations. Throughout his career, he has built high-performing cross-cultural organisations underpinned by a strong customer-centric philosophy.

From a proud Danish merchant marine family, Kristensen is passionate about shipping and committed to strengthening Neptune Pacific’s role as the South Pacific’s leading shipping and logistics provider.

“Container shipping has shaped the global economy and opened doors for even the most remote regions – a change I’ve been lucky to witness over the past 30+ years. I’m genuinely excited about Neptune Pacific’s place as the largest carrier from Oceania into the Pacific Islands because it shows how dedicated supply chains and containerization can make a real difference for communities and trade,” said Kristensen.

Kristensen succeeds Greg Wilson, who retired in September after a highly successful 19-year career with Neptune Pacific. Kristensen will be based in Singapore and spend his first months visiting Neptune Pacific’s network to meet teams, agencies, and customers.
