MSC USA & Puerto Rico to South Africa: Used cards into Lesotho

Following the amendment of the gazette on Business licensing and registration regulations act in Lesotho, the new regulations require clients to adhere to the following:

  • Business licenses will need to be renewed twice a year.
  • An applicant importer who is a motor dealer may not import more than 100 vehicles in one year.
  • A  list of imported cars and sale records of the buyers will need to be submitted to the Lesotho licensing officer every 3 months.
  • Used vehicles older than 8 years from the date of the first registration will not be permitted/allowed to be imported into Lesotho.
  • A valid vehicle roadworthy certificate must be issued by the relevant authority from the country of origin.
