MSC Announcement: Emergency recovery operation surcharge from USA & Puerto Rico to Pakistan

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has decided to implement an Emergency Operational Recovery Surcharge. 

USD 300 per unit will be applicable on all exports from USA & Puerto Rico to Pakistan effective June 11th, 2025.

The above mentioned will be applicable to all container size and type, Dry and Reefer.

EOS - EMERGENCY OPERATION SURCHARGE

SCOPE: TRADES TO AND FROM PAKISTAN

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announced the implementation of an EOS - Emergency Operation Surcharge applicable to all shipments (exports and imports) from Pakistan to Europe (inc. Med), USA and Africa, and from Pakistan to/from Middle East and Indian Subcontinent.

The EOS will be effective

  • as from 19 May 2025 (gate-in date) until further notice for all shipments from Pakistan to Europe, Africa, and to/from Middle East and Indian Subcontinent; 
  • as from 11 June 2025 (gate-in date) until further notice for all shipments from Pakistan to USA. 

The EOS will be charged as follows: 

  • USD 800 / unit for all containers to Europe (inc. Med), USA and Africa; 
  • USD 300 / unit for all containers to/from Intra Middle East Gulf and Indian Subcontinent.
