MSC CPF – COD process fee scope: USA to ECSA (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay)

Mediterranean Shipping Company has filed and will start implementing the below surcharge effective December 7th, 2022. This fee is related to the additional cost related to the COD requests, when not materializing.

From: USA

To: Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay & Paraguay

Cost: USD 100 per BL

Definition: Charge to initiate a COD process and to be charged only if the COD is cancelled by the client.

Applicability:

  • If COD is requested and cancelled by Shipper
  • If COD is requested and confirmed, CPF will not be charged on top of normal COD costs
  • If COD is rejected by MSC, CPF will not be charged as an additional cost.
