MSC announces Bunker Recovery Charge updates for USA

As MSC continues to monitor the Bunker Recovery Charge (BRC), the new levels applicable for ECSA Northbound effective February 1st, 2020 will be as follows:

Export USA

Effective February 1st, 2020 BRC (Bunker Recovery Charge) levels as follows:

for Export USA DRY cargo:

*Bunker amounts to Central America, Caribbean, Venezuela will be valid until February 15th, 2020. 

for Export USA REEFER cargo:

*Bunker amounts to Central America, Caribbean, Venezuela will be valid until February 15th, 2020. Further communication will be sent separately for remainder of the month validity.

USA to/from Mexico and Canada

The BRC for USA to/from Mexico and Canada will remain same levels effective February 1st, 2020:
