MSC Advanced Cargo Information from USA to Egypt effective October 1, 2021

MSC announced that Effective October 1st, 2021 the new regulations for import cargo into Egypt will be applied.  

MSC will require the following information in order to accept bookings:

  • A valid ACID number at time of booking. No ACID, no booking.
  • The 10-digit HS code at the time of booking.
  • The ACID# and 10-digit HS code on SI.
  • TAX IDs for all parties of the BL (not needed for the Freight Forwarder).

All cargo sailed on or after October 1st, will be subject to this regulation.
