Mi-Jack Products, the industry leader in rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes, container handling machinery, and related technologies for industrial, intermodal, and port applications, has announced the acquisition of a new manufacturing facility in Monee, Illinois.
The 200,000-square-foot facility is specifically designed for oversized equipment, making it an ideal way to enhance Mi-Jack’s production capabilities and meet critical capacity needs driven by sustained domestic and international growth.
Bill Lanigan, President of the Lanco Group of Companies, said, “This strategic investment underscores our commitment to meet growing customer demand and expands our manufacturing operations here in the United States.”
Monee’s proximity to Mi-Jack’s other Illinois facilities, along with the community’s focus on economic development and industrial growth, further supported the decision.
Mike Lanigan Jr., Vice President of Sales at Mi-Jack, said, “We would like to thank the Village of Monee and the State of Illinois for their collaboration and support throughout this process.”
The facility is expected to be fully operational in Q2 2026 and will handle all assembly, while the Hazel Crest location will focus on increased welding and fabrication capacity. This expansion will create additional jobs in welding, fabrication, operations, and related roles.
“The State of Illinois is committed to fostering long-term economic growth by supporting industries, like manufacturing, that keep our state competitive on a global scale,” said Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Director Kristin Richards. “Mi-Jack Products’ facility will expand economic opportunity while also creating new jobs.”
