Maersk Middle East situation update

Jun 27, 2025

Due to escalations in tensions in the Middle East that have impacted operations involving Iran and Israel, Maersk has previously announced a temporary suspension of vessel calls to the Port of Haifa.

With the prospect of current cease-fire agreement bringing de-escalation to the conflict, we have decided to resume vessel calls to the Port of Haifa, and acceptance for both import and export cargo is now open. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will be ready to make changes if safety concerns reappear.

As of 25 June 2025, we have reopened import cargo acceptance to Haifa port. Vessels scheduled to call Haifa will continue with their regular port calls starting Monday, 30 June.

The situation and operations at the Port of Ashdod remain unchanged, though we continue to monitor the latest developments and maritime advisories. For the latest updates on your cargo, please sign up for ETA notifications and you will be updated as any changes are made in the system.

The safety of our crews and operations remain our top priorities and we appreciate your understanding as we navigate the current situation. Rest assured that our teams are doing their utmost to minimise the impact on your supply chains. Should you have any questions, or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to your local Maersk teams, who are standing by and ready to assist.
