LogisticsConnect 2026: Germany’s leading forum for project logistics gathers top experts in Bremen

Dec 11, 2025

LogisticsConnect will once again gather leading experts from the fields of project logistics, break bulk, RoRo, and heavy lift at the Congress Centrum Bremen (CCB) for its second edition on March 5 and 6,2026.

The majority of the extensive lecture program on the future of logistics has been finalized. With input from industry, logistics, science, and research, the LogisticsConnect congress fair will focus on key issues the industry is facing. This year, the focus will be on challenges relating to global supply chains, resilient infrastructure and, last but not least, the important role of ports in times of geopolitical change and upheaval. A total of six sessions and three practical workshops are planned so far.

André Starke, Head of Project Logistics at Andritz Hydro and member of the program advisory board, emphasizes the special relevance of the congress trade fair format: "LogisticsConnect creates a framework in which shippers and logistics partners can discuss solutions on an equal footing and in very concrete terms. This is exactly the kind of format we need in the industry to drive our logistics transformation issues forward together, pragmatically, and with real added value."

These focal points are complemented by topics such as maritime security, digitalization, and “leadership in times of change.” A special highlight will be the participation of Germany's only big wave surfer, Lena Kemna from Bremen, at LogisticConnect. As a top athlete and pioneer, she will demonstrate what courage, teamwork, precision, and decision-making skills have in common with demanding logistics.

Industry topics will also feature heavily in the program, and not without reason. "Bremen offers a virtually unique network of specialized logistics partners, a high level of expertise, and the right infrastructure for many projects. For us in the industry, it is an ideal place for the intensive exchange of ideas and opinions that I expect from the upcoming LogisticsConnect," says Ruediger Fromm, Logistics Business Partner Wind Power, Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG, highlighting Bremen's locational advantage.

But quo vadis, project logistics? This will be the topic of the panel discussion entitled “Market outlook for breakbulk and project logistics – where are we heading in 2026?” Melanie Drehkopf, CCO dship Carriers, will be joining the discussion. She is optimistic about the future in the run-up to LogisticsConnect: “Despite global uncertainties, we see many positives for heavy lift carriers in 2026. The project sector continues to develop strongly and we are approaching the new year with confidence.”
