LDS and CSX Transportation forge multi-year technology alliance to drive industry innovation

Sep 16, 2024

Logistical Data Services (LDS), a leader in providing advanced data analytics and inspection services in the automotive sector, is pleased to announce the formation of a multi-year Technology and Services Alliance Agreement with CSX Transportation, one of the nation's largest rail networks. This strategic partnership underscores CSX’s recognition of LDS’s proven capabilities in delivering cutting-edge data services and technology solutions.

The collaboration aims to spearhead industry innovation, with a strong focus on reducing and eliminating vehicle damage. LDS’s cutting-edge systems will empower CSX and its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to enhance coordination on initiatives that target damage reduction and supply chain efficiency improvements. LDS’s software streamlines the entire claims management process, and in turn, significantly boosts the efficiency of CSX's freight claims. This technology automates data collection, supports real-time tracking, and delivers sophisticated analytics, minimizing manual errors and speeding up claim resolutions. This results in faster reimbursements, optimized resource allocation, and heightened customer satisfaction, ultimately refining the freight claims workflow and elevating operational efficiency for CSX.

Impactful Early Results

In the early stages of the partnership, CSX has already reported a significant improvement in data management, resulting in faster and more efficient claim settlements for customers. With LDS’s advanced data support and insights, CSX has identified mitigation opportunities that have helped streamline operations and improve service delivery.

Autohouz: Tailored for the Automotive Industry

Since 2015, LDS has provided comprehensive software solutions for the automotive industry, including its proprietary ‘Autohouz’ finished vehicle data warehouse, which offers unique analytics and inspection tools tailored to this critical sector. The multi-year agreement with CSX will extend the reach of LDS’s solutions to support the automotive supply chain further, leveraging data to enhance performance and minimize damage.

"We are thrilled to embark on this extended partnership with CSX, which will allow us to collaborate closely on industry initiatives aimed at continuous improvement,” said Marc Gettemy, VP, Logistical Data Services. “This agreement reflects our shared commitment to innovation and delivering exceptional value to the transportation and automotive sectors.”

"CSX recognized LDS’ business competence for providing analytical inspection services and technology to identify and offer mitigation opportunities in furthering damage reduction and elimination," shared Stephanie Denton, Director, Freight Claims and Damage Prevention. "This will enable CSX and its OEMs partners to further collaborate on industry initiatives."
