Interstate Cold Storage employee wins corporate award

Tippmann Affiliated Group has selected Rod Waiters, warehouse supervisor for its growing Interstate Cold Storage (ICS) Columbus II facility, as the Employee of the Quarter to recognize his contributions to the company’s success, according to ICS president Vince Tippmann, Jr.

Waiters has served as an Interstate Cold Storage team member for 16 years. His responsibilities include overseeing the daily activities of all warehouse workers at the Interstate Cold Storage Columbus II location.

“Our employees are our greatest asset, and we are proud to honor Rod Waiters this quarter for his efforts as a warehouse supervisor. Not only a great colleague, mentor and friend, Rod epitomizes the best of Interstate Cold Storage,” says Tippmann. “Rod has made a major impact on our business during the pandemic and on-going labor shortages. He leads by example and is an invaluable member of the Tippmann Affiliated Group family.”

Waiters started his Interstate Cold Storage career in 2006 as a forklift operator at the company’s Columbus I location. “Being here as long as I have seen many innovations and improvements throughout the years,” he says.

Waiters leads the team of warehouse employees working at Columbus II, the largest of five Interstate Cold Storage facilities with more than 7.3 million cubic feet of cold storage space.
