IAPORTS Virtual Investment Round kicks off

Sep 15, 2025

The IAPORTS Virtual Investment Round begins September 16th, ushering in a new era of global collaboration in port development. From September 16–18, 2025, participants will engage in strategic conversations designed to unlock capital for future-ready infrastructure and sustainability-driven projects. For the first time, this event will be broadcasted live by TV BENews.

Organized by the International Association of Port Development (IAPORTS), the event offers a neutral, transparent, and free platform for negotiations and strategic dialogues. Its goal is to close the information gap between global investors and port projects, allowing capital to flow more efficiently into future-ready infrastructures.

The event opens on September 16 with the Global Port Investment Opportunities Overview, featuring 22 live presentations from leading global players, such as New Development Bank (NDB), K-LINE Global, AD Ports, Ashdod Port, MKP Global, Portos do Paraná and DEME Group. Port authorities from Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and North America will present verified investment pipelines.

September 17 and 18 will host six matchmaking rounds, alternating between infrastructure and Net Zero projects. These one-on-one meetings are designed to foster strategic partnerships and accelerate implementation of high-impact initiatives.

Raquel Kibrit, Executive Director of IAPORTS, will deliver opening and closing remarks each day, reinforcing the event’s mission to close the information gap and democratize access to global capital.

Quotes from participating ports emphasize the importance of this initiative:

“Portos do Paraná is honored to participate in the IAPORTS Virtual Investment Round. This platform is essential for showcasing the Brazilian infrastructure potential and connecting with global investors who value innovation and sustainability,” said Gabriel Vieira, Director of Operations of Portos do Paraná.

“ATPA Logistics sees IAPORTS as a strategic ally in promoting transparency and visibility for Latin American port projects. This event is a milestone in our journey toward modernization and climate resilience,” said Rafael Diaz-Balart, Chairman of the Board of ATPA Logistics.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is subject to approval and limited capacity.
