Jan 10, 2024

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) welcomed inaugural Aeromexico flights to Atlanta from Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexico on January 8, 2024. This significant expansion in collaboration with Aeromexico and Delta Air Lines underscores ATL's commitment to providing exceptional service, enhancing global connectivity, and propelling innovation in the aviation industry.

"This partnership with Aeromexico and Delta Air Lines marks a pivotal moment in our ongoing journey of strengthening ATL’s position as an international economic force,” said ATL General Manager Balram “B” Bheodari. “This new service brings Atlanta closer to Mexico's most important cities offering travelers enhanced connectivity options, fulfilling one of our principal purposes.”

These nonstop routes are the first of five new Mexico connections set to progressively roll out, expanding ATL’s international destinations to 76 cities in 43 countries. The other three new destinations include Leon/Guanajuato, Merida, and Queretaro and are scheduled to commence in the spring and fall of this year.

Delta Air Lines will support the progressive rollout of these flights through codeshare agreements, ensuring seamless travel experiences for passengers. The service to Guadalajara and Monterrey will be operated daily using Embraer E-190 aircraft with 99 seats.
