Hartsfield-Jackson announces new routes with Aeromexico

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in collaboration with Aeromexico announced the new Aeromexico-Delta Air Lines partnership that will significantly enhance North American service. Together, they are set to introduce nonstop flights from ATL to five prominent destinations across Mexico.

“We are thrilled to provide our travelers with convenient, nonstop service to Mexico,” said ATL General Manager Balram “B” Bheodari. “This collaboration with Aeromexico and Delta Air Lines signifies a significant milestone in our ongoing journey to provide exceptional service, enhance global connectivity, and strengthen our reputation as a hub of progress and innovation in the aviation industry.”

Beginning in January 2024, the Aeromexico-Delta Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) will

will progressively roll out five new routes. With this new partnership, ATL’s 2024 international destinations will expand to 76 cities in 44 countries, increasing from 72 international destinations and 43 countries in 2023. This marks a total of 11 destinations in Mexico served directly via ATL next year. The new Aeromexico routes will include:

- ATL - Guadalajara (GDL) starting on Jan. 8, 2024

- ATL - Monterrey (MTY) starting on Jan. 8, 2024

- ATL - Leon/Guanajuato (BJX) starting on March 14, 2024

- ATL - Merida (MID) starting on March 14, 2024

- ATL - Queretaro (QRO) starting in the Fall 2024 (date TBA)

"We are very excited about this expansion of the Aeromexico-Delta Joint Cooperation Agreement, which will allow us to bring Atlanta closer to five of Mexico's most important cities,” said Aeromexico's Senior Vice President of Global Sales Giancarlo Mulinelli. “Starting in January 2024, we will offer cross-border travelers more connectivity options, thus fulfilling one of our principal purposes."

This strategic expansion marks a milestone for travelers. Delta will support the progressive rollout of these flights through codeshare agreements, ensuring seamless travel experiences for passengers.

All routes will be operated daily using Embraer E-190 aircraft with 99 seats.
