Hactl wins International Cargo Handler of the Year award

Feb 26, 2026

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) – Hong Kong’s largest independent cargo handler – has won the “International Cargo Handler of the Year” and “Best Marketing Campaign in Air Cargo of the Year – Highly Acclaimed” awards at the 2026 International Award for Excellence in Air Cargo hosted by STAT Trade Times. The awards celebrate and recognise outstanding contributions, innovations and leadership in the industry.

The “International Cargo Handler of the Year” award was presented to Hactl in recognition of its exceptional performance and innovations, grounded in a culture that continually pushes for improvement. Among the many recent projects which Hactl showcased in its entry submission included its 5G private network which is a new digital backbone for Hong Kong’s busiest cargo terminal. It will also unlock the next stage in the development of the company’s growth roadmap. On innovation it showed how the second phase of its intelligent cargo thermal detection system is raising the global bar for cargo safety intelligence.

The Hactl team was delighted to also win the “Best Marketing Campaign in Air Cargo of the Year – Highly Acclaimed” award, which recognises the company’s outstanding achievement in promoting its brand globally and maintaining a consistently high profile across global media.

Hactl Acting Chief Executive Michelle Choi said after the announcement: “These two honours are a tremendous testament to the hard work of all our colleagues who have been recognised for their ongoing dedication to being the best in air cargo. We are privileged to receive these awards for our efforts to set the highest possible standards for our industry. We thank the organisers and those who took the time to vote for Hactl.”
