Global K9 partners with Dutch screening company

Global K9(GK9), a leading provider of air cargo security solutions in the U.S., has announced a new partnership with Het Twickelerveld Cargo Screening B.V. (Het Twickelerveld), a Netherlands-headquartered cargo screening company.

GK9 has appointed Het Twickelerveld to support with screening services in the Netherlands, combining GK9’s expertise in detection solutions with Het Twickelerveld’s established presence in the European market.

Following the acquisition of UK-based screening company, Dog Detectives, at the end of 2024, GK9 is now further extending its footprint across Europe.

“By combining our proven detection services with Het Twickelerveld’s local expertise, this agreement is aimed at replicating our successful U.S. operations, providing enhanced security solutions across the region,” said Eric Hare, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Global K9.

“Our goal is to provide the same level of excellence in Europe that our clients have come to expect in the U.S., building upon our growing global presence.”

Het Twickelerveld, established in 2005, is a Dutch screening company, specializing in the training and handling of canines for cargo security.

“Partnering with a well-established screening company such as GK9 allows us to enhance our services in the air cargo sector, bringing mutual benefits to our clients,” said Martin Lipsius, Founder and CEO, Het Twickelerveld.

“We look forward to integrating GK9’s expertise to strengthen our air cargo security operations across the Netherlands and Western Europe.”

The agreement will see the screening providers collaborate across not only canine operations, but X-ray, Explosive Trace Detection (ETD), and authorized representative work, to offer tailored, compliant solutions for the air cargo industry.
