GEODIS to hire 4,600 seasonal workers for peak season

Sep 04, 2025

GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider, today announced plans to hire 4,600 seasonal workers across its campuses in the U.S. and Canada to support the anticipated surge in demand during peak season. This hiring initiative will significantly enhance the company’s operational capacities in its warehouses and distribution centers in preparation for the holiday season, with seasonal employees joining its nearly 20,000 teammates in North America.

GEODIS is recruiting for a variety of seasonal positions, including material handlers and equipment operators, across 11 of its campuses in the U.S. and Canada. GEODIS provides a benefits package including competitive wages, peak premium pay incentives, and peak and referral bonuses. For financial flexibility, GEODIS offers an on-demand payment program that allows teammates to receive up to 50% of their paycheck before payday. The company also allows for a range of flexible schedules with weekend opportunities and multiple daily shift options to accommodate diverse lifestyles. Both part-time (under 30 hours a week) and full-time (over 30 hours a week) seasonal positions are available.

To make the application process as seamless as possible, prospective teammates can use GEODIS’ virtual recruiting assistant, Sophie, on the company’s careers site. Sophie helps candidates find the right role, easily navigate the application process and receive instant answers to questions before connecting them with a recruiter for next steps.

“The trust our customers place in us to deliver exceptional service is never more critical than during peak season,” said Anthony Jordan, GEODIS in Americas Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “By expanding our workforce by more than 4,600 seasonal employees, we can ensure we have a flexible and robust team that is ready when demand is at its highest and our customers need us most.”

GEODIS is dedicated to fostering a supportive workplace environment where teammates are at the forefront. The company encourages open communication, providing employees with opportunities to share feedback and suggestions through regular surveys, personal check-ins and group meetings. GEODIS also prioritizes teammate safety at its modern facilities, which are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. All new hires receive paid, safety-focused training, providing the hands-on experience and confidence they need to succeed from day one.

“We are committed to building a culture of opportunity where our teammates feel valued, supported and safe,” said Jordan. “We view our seasonal hiring as an opportunity to welcome new teammates and offer them a clear path forward—whether they’re looking to simply earn extra holiday money or embark on a new career journey with us.”
