Gebrüder Weiss in Tbilisi visited by German Eastern Business Association

Oct 17, 2022

A delegation of the German Eastern Business Association visited the Gebrüder Weiss location in Tbilisi on October 5. High-level German business representatives went to find out about the outlook and future plans of Gebrüder Weiss Georgia. They were given a tour of the nearly 13,000-square-meter logistics facility, during which they could watch the company’s 100 employees preparing goods from various industries for transport by rail, sea, air and road. Alexander Kharlamov, Georgia Country Manager at Gebrüder Weiss, delivered a positive message to the delegation: “Its favorable geographical location on the

Middle Corridor of the New Silk Road makes Tbilisi’s position as a cross-docking hub the ideal place to handle a greater volume of logistical work on the route between West and South-East Europe, Turkey, Georgia and Central Asia.” Since entering the market ten years ago, Gebrüder Weiss has turned the logistics location situated close to Tbilisi International Airport into a key hub for international and national land transport activities in the Caucasus region and between Europe and Central Asia.
