Frontier Airlines commemorates record December and holiday period operational performance

Jan 08, 2024

On the heels of the busiest December in airline history, Frontier is celebrating the airline’s record-setting 99-plus percent completion factor for both the month and the holiday period with a one-day sale offering 99% off base fares.

For the full month of December and the holiday period, Frontier had its best overall flight completion level on record (based on available data going back to 2008). Also, the airline’s on-time arrival and on-time departure levels for December 2023 were Frontier’s highest since 2015 (excluding pandemic-year 2020).

“We are proud to have achieved a 99.38% flight completion rate in December with industry-leading aircraft utilization on our all-Airbus fleet at over 12 hours per day,” said Barry Biffle, CEO, Frontier Airlines. “We are doubling down on operational improvement and, despite some challenges from ATC ground delay programs and minor weather impacts, it is extremely gratifying to see these results,” said Barry Biffle, CEO, Frontier Airlines. “Progress is meant to be celebrated and who better to celebrate with than our customers.”

To take advantage of the 99% off one-day sale, reservations must be completed by 11:59 pm Eastern time Jan. 8, 2024. The discount applies to base fares only, not to government taxes and fees or carrier-imposed fees. Route exclusions, restrictions, and blackout dates apply.*

“For consumers across the U.S. and beyond, the new year is a great time to start planning your 2024 travel and take advantage of the early year deals to lock in your plans,” said Biffle. “We extend our gratitude and appreciation to both our customers and team members for their continued loyalty and support.”

Frontier is focused on more than low fares. The carrier offers customers the ability to customize travel to their needs and budget. For example, customers can purchase options a la carte or in one low-priced bundle called the WORKS. This bundle includes refundability, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, the best available seat, waived change fees, and priority boarding.

New, starting in 2024, the airline’s reimagined, industry-leading frequent flyer program, FRONTIER Miles, will enable consumers to ‘Get It All For Less.’ Customers will earn miles fast and get rewarded for each dollar spent on Frontier products. Status enables members to enjoy benefits like priority boarding, free seat selection, no change or cancel fees when changes are made seven days or more in advance of flight departure, and free bag(s) at Gold, Diamond, and Platinum levels. Like the airline, FRONTIER Miles is family friendly, and the program makes it easy for families to enjoy the rewards together, including family pooling of miles.
