Extended service for customers of DB Schenker and DB Cargo

DB Schenker’s full load solutions transferred to DB Cargo

DB Schenker’s Full Load Solution business (FLS) will be transferred to DB Cargo. This will help DB Cargo expand its position as a European rail logistics specialist whilst it enables DB Schenker to further strengthen its market position in the world’s fast-growing economies and markets. DB Group’s Supervisory Board has been informed about the transition in its recent meeting.

Established in 2019, FLS has been dealing with high volume streams of Full Loads 

within DB Schenker’s European Land Transport Network. FLS offers secure and flexible land, rail or vessel-based door-to-door transports including DB Schenker’s Eurasian rail and shortsea connections. Additional services include unpacking and repacking, cross-docking, warehousing, container staffing as well as control tower and visibility products. With the addition of FLS operations, DB Cargo will acquire access to customers in the consumer goods and other industries, as well as additional expertise in the field of multimodal door-to-door solutions. 

The transfer involves the Transa Spedition GmbH, Hangartner Terminal S.r.l., and the majority of DB Schenker’s European Multi Modal Solutions departments. All services will in future be offered by DB Cargo and DB Schenker in close partnership.
