Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI) has partnered with Hoopo to launch a large-scale rollout of smart chassis tracking technology across 50,000 53-foot chassis in its Direct ChassisLink Domestic Pool (DCL53).

This marks one of the most substantial smart chassis tracking deployments currently underway in the U.S. intermodal sector. It reflects DCLI’s bold vision to modernize operations and deliver a new level of transparency, scalability, and performance to its customers.

“Equipping our chassis with GPS tracking is an essential step in our ongoing effort to deliver greater transparency, efficiency, and reliability to our customers,” said Lee Newitt, CEO at DCLI. “Hoopo’s solution helps us bridge key visibility gaps and optimize operations at scale across our national network.”

With the deployment already underway, DCLI is leveraging Hoopo’s technology to gain real-time insights into chassis availability, automate maintenance planning, and reposition equipment faster in response to its customers’ demands.

Hoopo delivers smart tracking solutions purpose-built for transportation and intermodal fleets, featuring up to 10 years of battery life, real-time breadcrumb location tracking, and container mount status detection, engineered to perform reliably in the most demanding operational environments.

“We’ve worked with DCLI for several years now, and their commitment to bold thinking and operational excellence has been clear from day one,” said Ittay Hayut, CEO and Co-Founder of Hoopo. “This large-scale rollout is more than a tech upgrade; it’s a strategic move toward data-driven fleet intelligence. We’re proud to support DCLI’s transformation with technology that goes beyond visibility to deliver measurable results.”

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to smarter logistics, more resilient supply chains, and enhanced service for customers across North America.
