Contship Italia Group announces Gasselin as new CEO

Matthieu Gasselin is a highly accomplished executive with a distinguished record in the shipping and logistics industry. In his most recent role, Gasselin served as the CEO of Sogemar, where he transformed the company into a leading logistics provider in Italy.

The appointment of Gasselin comes at a time of significant growth and expansion for Contship Italia Group. The company recently announced plans to invest in the expansion of its La Spezia Container Terminal, and through its logistics arm Sogemar, became a leading intermodal operator in Italy with services covering maritime and continental business. The Company is also present in Morocco with 2 terminals in Tangier and is developing a new terminal in Egypt in collaboration with Eurogate and Hapag Lloyd.
