ContainerPort Group's Director of Business Process & Training, Alex Frye, has been awarded the prestigious Pike's Peak Award by The Bob Pike Group for her work on developing innovative training. This accolade recognizes learning leaders who have successfully implemented participant-centered training programs that demonstrably improve performance.
Ms. Frye and her team were also the subject of a case study by The Bob Pike Group that detailed how participant-centered training methods can translate into revenue-generating solutions.
On winning the award and being a subject of a Case Study, Ms. Frye says, “It gives me a sense of fulfillment to be able to use my background and formal education outside of school walls,” she reflects, “and apply it to a bigger picture in a forever changing and evolving industry.”
Ms. Frye joined the World Group HR team in 2020 and served as the manager of Training and Development. She was pivotal in setting up Learning Management Systems, World Group University programs, employee onboarding, and manager training schemes. After working on the HR team for a year, she noticed a significant gap in role-based training within the business and met with leadership to address this critical need which resulted in the creation of CPG's Process & Training team. CPG's Process & Training team collaborates extensively with other departments to streamline and document processes and ensuring consistency across departments.
Alex, with her team, focus on micro-learning opportunities, carefully designed to be accessible for busy trucking employees.“It’s not just about how to do your job,” Alex explains, “but why it matters in the full circle of the supply chain. As a company, we are continuously learning and leveraging our skills to deliver excellence to our customers every day."
