CMA CGM Weight Charge for exports from Barcelona, Bilbao, Gijon, Vigo & Valencia, Spain

Some Spanish terminals are now systematically weighing containers to provide VGM to the carrier.

CMA CGM announced the implementation of a “Weight Charge” applicable as follows to cargo exported from the Spanish ports listed below:

Effective July 1st, 2020, Loading date (July 10th for US trades):

Exports from Barcelona, Bilbao, Gijon, Vigo & Valencia, Spain

  • Cargo: dry & reefer
  • Quantum: EUR 10 per unit
  • Payment: prepaid
