CMA CGM Reefer PCS in Port Sudan

Jun 15, 2020

Due to the congested situation in Port Sudan, Sudan, terminal operations have significantly been affected and vessels may stay at anchorage for several weeks before berthing.

To cover additional costs, CMA CGM will apply a Port Congestion Surcharge as follows:

  • Perimeter: All new bookings to Port Sudan
  • Cargo: Reefer only
  • Amount: USD 1,000 per Reefer container (on freight payer's account)
  • Effective immediately (except from the USA: July 15th, 2020 and from Brazil: from July 15th to August 31st, 2020)

For ongoing units and those which have already been rerouted, a specific surcharge may be calculated once the container reaches the terminal.
