CMA CGM Indian Subcontinent & Middle East - East Africa services reshuffle

Feb 25, 2026

CMA CGM will reorganize its services between the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East and East Africa, effective from March 2026.

As part of this network optimization:

- KARIBU service will be strengthened to better cover Somalia and Indian Ocean markets.

The service will continue to serve Mauritius, Reunion, Madagascar, and Mayotte, and will now include the Seychelles, with a weekly frequency.

Zanzibar will still be served on this service via Lamu.

- SWAHILI EXPRESS service becomes our primary service to Kenya and Tanzania from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East, with enhanced coverage and reliability to these destinations.

- Mozambique will be served via Colombo on new KANIMAMBO service, allowing for:

- improved transit times from all origins and to all destinations,

- weekly frequency,

- optimized connectivity with our network in the Indian Subcontinent.

This reorganization aims to improve service quality, transit times, and the reliability of our rotations across the entire region.
