Clipper Data: Asian LPG Imports Jump in January

Global LPG flows maintained their recovery in January, with an increase not only seen into China, which has been leading the global economic recovery, but also into Japan, South Korea, France and Egypt. In addition to the economic recovery many Asian countries have experienced, most were also under siege from cold weather in January, which also boosted demand.

China's LPG offtake rose nearly 8% in January, while Japan was up by nearly three-quarters. China's growth was led by petrochemicals, with Wanhua Shandong's Yantai PDH plant nearly doubling in January to over 100,000 bpd:
