CenterPoint Properties appoints Jonathan Guffey as East Region VP of Leasing

Nov 21, 2024

CenterPoint Properties has named Jonathan Guffey its vice president of leasing in the East region. Guffey is based in the national industrial real estate firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.

David Nenner, CenterPoint’s senior vice president of asset management in the East region, praised Guffey’s track record and said he’s the perfect choice to lead the firm’s leasing efforts in its highly competitive Southeastern U.S. submarkets.

“Over the last 16 years, Jonathan has built a rock-solid reputation for forging strong relationships with the brokerage community and industrial users along the East Coast,” Nenner said. “That’s been our calling card for decades, establishing long-lasting partnerships. Jonathan will help us continue to deliver the high level of service and trust our customers have come to seek out and expect from CenterPoint.”

Guffey was formerly Prologis’ vice president of leasing and led a team overseeing asset management, construction, and leasing activities for its 12 million square feet of South Florida industrial space. His experience also includes various roles at Workspace Property Trust, Liberty Property Trust, JLL and Penn-Florida Companies.

Guffey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in real estate and finance from Florida State University, where he played catcher on the Seminole baseball team.

“Thanks to David and the entire leadership team for their trust in me,” said Guffey. “This is an exciting time to help CenterPoint put its high-quality portfolio to work for industrial users, especially in the tight markets it operates in from New York to Miami and top port markets in between,” he finished.

CenterPoint’s East Region markets include New York/New Jersey, Lehigh Valley/Philadelphia, Charleston, SC, Greenville, SC, Savannah, GA, Atlanta, and South Florida. Nenner’s team manages and leases 98 assets and over 21 million square feet of industrial space in those markets. The firm owns and manages nearly 63 million feet of space across 309 properties and services more than 400 tenants coast-to-coast.
