CASL welcomes cooperation arrangement with Civil aviation authorities of Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao

Nov 30, 2021

China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) expressed its positive support to the “Joint Maintenance Management Cooperation Arrangement” (“Cooperation Arrangement”) which was jointly signed by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong (CAD) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao (AACM) on 30th November, 2021. The new Cooperation Arrangement will facilitate aircraft maintenance licences holders issued by the three authorities to work in the aircraft maintenance organisations located in the three places.

Acting CEO of CASL, Dr. Angus Cheung says, “We are excited that the new Cooperation Agreement has been signed and are confident that the connectivity between Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao will greatly benefit the aircraft maintenance industry in Hong Kong by fostering cooperation through the exchange of talents, information, knowledge and expertise. In particular, Hong Kong has a transcendent position in Greater Bay Area which provides a wider catchment area for enormous growth opportunities. The integration can further strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a leading international aviation hub.”

CASL welcomes the new Cooperation Agreement and believes that the expanded connectivity will create synergies and support the development of aviation in line with the objectives of safety, efficiency and sustainability.
