cargo-partner Barcelona is open for business

Nov 09, 2022

Following the announcement of cargo-partner’s exciting expansion into Spain earlier this year, Managing Director Oriol Asturgo has been laying the foundations for the company’s first branch in Barcelona and building a local team of logistics experts.

With an established team of 14 colleagues now providing a comprehensive portfolio of air, sea, land transport and logistics services, cargo-partner Spain is celebrating eight weeks of officially trading.

Managing Director Oriol Asturgo, said: “It’s a very exciting time at cargo-partner as we continue to expand into Western Europe. The new office in Barcelona provides ideal connections to all major logistics hubs and brings cargo-partner closer to its customers in this country.

“Our branch joins cargo-partner’s existing network of 160 offices across 40 countries, therefore opening up a huge web of trade lanes and connections across the globe.

“With a local team on hand to support customers with bespoke transport and warehousing solutions, we are excited to start our journey and look forward to welcoming more colleagues and partners into the cargo-partner family.”

The Austrian-based logistics provider has had a very strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe but has recently substantially invested in expanding its footprint in Western Europe. The company has long established branch offices in Germany, Benelux, Sweden and Ireland, but has more recently expanded its network into the UK, Italy and Spain, ensuring cargo-partner is now represented in the most important markets in the region.
