OQ Marketing and BDP International enter 4-year partnership for outbound logistics to bring value and visibility to stakeholders

Mar 28, 2023

Earlier this year, OQ Marketing (OQM), a global integrated energy company with roots in Oman – announced that BDP International (BDP), a member of the PSA Group, will manage all outbound logistics through 2026.

OQM produces top-tier quality polymers with an annual production capacity of 1.5 million tons. The materials are shipped to a multitude of locations globally due to its expansive partnership networks and strategic hub/port locations. With this new agreement, BDP will bring its high-care expertise, vast regional footprint, and industry-leading visibility technology to facilitate logistics-related activities for OQM’s plants in Suhar, Oman. This includes order entry and review, compliance audits, ocean and inland booking management and monitoring, coordinating customs clearances and associated activities, requisite documentation, and transmitting status alerts and shipping documents to customers and OQM agents. These services will support OQM’s operational efficiency and agility by enabling cohesive order management, streamlined clearance activities, and faster processing times to provide greater value to OQM’s end customers and stakeholders. Additionally, BDP will deploy an advanced control tower solution in Oman to manage and oversee OQM’s freight forwarding needs.

“The strength of our supply partnership with BDP remains a key priority of OQM as we continue scaling operations to reach new demands,” mentioned Dawood Al Rahbi, VP Global Supply Chain at OQM. “Our ability to anticipate dynamic market changes and overcome adversity is made possible through the strong collaboration between OQM and BDP, ultimately making us a trusted supplier that our customers can rely on.”

“The team at BDP is thrilled to announce this expanded partnership with OQM,” said Fikret Ersoy, Managing Director, Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, BDP International. “We have a foundational working relationship built on trust that has yielded great successes with the common goal of delivering excellence to our customers. I look forward to the fruitful opportunities that lie ahead as we continue this partnership together.”

“BDP Oman has had the honor of working with OQM for several years, and we are ecstatic to continue this great partnership,” noted Syed Ali, Country Manager – Oman, BDP International. “Our two great organizations are committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and providing a superior customer experience.”

OQM has been a customer of BDP since 2016.
