Avianca is recognized as the third most punctual airline in the word

Apr 04, 2023

Avianca was recognized as the third most punctual airline globally, according to the February 2023 Ranking published by Cirium, the largest global aviation data firm, a category that measures airlines with operations in several countries around the world.

In the midst of a challenging environment for aviation, not only in Colombia but also in Latin America and the world, the company recorded a punctuality indicator (On Time Performance - OTP-) of 87.89%, which demonstrates its operational discipline, and is the result of the different efficiency initiatives implemented and the work of the teams behind the departure and arrival of each flight.

"We are very proud to represent Colombia in an international ranking of the stature of Cirium, while strengthening our operational indicators to be the airline our travelers want: on time, with their bags at destination and at increasingly competitive prices.

This is the result of the work of our team and in particular we also want to recognize the work of air traffic management that is allowing a more efficient operation in the Colombian skies, said Frederico Pedreira, Chief Operating Officer of Avianca.
