Averitt launches transportation management system for LTL shippers

Feb 19, 2020

Cookeville, Tenn. - Averitt Express has unveiled a transportation management system (TMS) called Averitt Connect. The transportation and logistics services provider partnered with MyCarrierTMS to provide customers access to a centralized platform to manage all aspects of LTL shipping at no charge.

Averitt Connect gives users quick access to shop for rates from multiple LTL carriers throughout the U.S. The platform is designed specifically for small and mid-sized shippers, and offers a variety of online shipment management tools, including multi-carrier rate quotes, a logistical planning calendar, bill of lading and label printing, and shipment booking and tracking.

“We are excited to be able to offer shippers an intuitive TMS that enables them to reduce the amount of time and resources that are needed to manage their LTL shipping needs,” says Wayne Spain, Averitt’s president and chief operating officer. “Averitt Connect gives our customers the power and control to make quick and informed decisions without having to spend a lot of unnecessary time calling around to multiple carriers to find the best option.”

The TMS is a browser-based platform that can be easily accessed from any location with an internet connection. Through direct API connections with multiple service providers, carrier-neutral rates provide shippers with access to an unbiased marketplace for LTL pricing.
