Averitt expands dedicated services to include tanker truck operations

Dec 18, 2025

Averitt has expanded its long-standing partnership with bourbon distilleries by adding dedicated tanker truck services to support the industry’s growing production needs.

“Transporting spirits in bulk improves operational flow, reduces congestion in dense areas, and enhances safety as production grows,” said Todd Harrett, director of corporate business development at Averitt. “Our goal is to advance our business with forward-thinking solutions, and this partnership reflects how we align creativity with real operational needs through our flexible approach.”

This new capability builds on multiphase customer relationships developed through Averitt’s suite of services. Over the years, the company has supported the bourbon industry with barrel movements, dedicated transportation, and just-in-time delivery of glass. The addition of tanker truck services marks the next step in that progression, providing a more efficient method for transporting bulk spirits as brands continue to scale.

“We continue to leverage Averitt’s Power of One concept to provide solutions to the bourbon and spirits industry,” said Brett Sloan, senior operations manager of dedicated operations at Averitt. “We are excited about this new chapter and look forward to the opportunities this will create. Our dedication to excellence and safety sets the foundation for a strong and successful future.”

Averitt continues to expand its footprint in the bourbon and spirits industry with a comprehensive suite of services tailored to the unique needs of distillers and suppliers. The company provides transportation, dedicated operations, warehousing, and specialized handling for materials and finished goods across the supply chain. Averitt is also a Kentucky Distillers’ Association (KDA) transportation partner. To learn more about Averitt’s capabilities in the bourbon and spirits industry, visit Averitt.com/Bourbon.
