Arvato signs agreement to acquire ATC Computer Transport & Logistics

Nov 26, 2024

Arvato, an innovative, tech-focused global 3PL service provider specializing in supply chain management and e-commerce solutions, has announced its planned acquisition of ATC Computer Transport & Logistics. The Irish company provides specialized transport, logistics, and technical services for hyperscale data center operators, high-tech freight forwarders, and original equipment manufacturers. The acquisition, which is subject to approval by relevant regulatory and antitrust authorities, aims to unlock new opportunities in the rapidly expanding data center services market by combining the complementary strengths of both companies.

The merger of Arvato and ATC Computer Transport & Logistics will create a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the entire data center lifecycle. ATC Computer Transport & Logistics brings a robust European network covering the major data center hubs, while Arvato expands this through its extensive global footprint.

"An important step in a rapidly growing market"

"The planned acquisition of ATC Computer Transport & Logistics is a significant milestone in our strategy to develop new growth areas. Our joint portfolio will enable us to offer more comprehensive and innovative services to our customers worldwide," explains Mitat Aydindag, President TECH at Arvato. "With the combination of our global expertise and the strong network of ATC Computer Transport & Logistics, we are strengthening our position in a dynamic market segment."

New possibilities through combined strengths

The combined expertise of the two companies will further strengthen Arvato's service range for the Tech industry, particularly by adding specialized data center services to its portfolio. The partnership of the two companies will create a world-class end-to-end service portfolio tailored to the needs of international clients.

Next steps

The takeover is subject to antitrust approval, which is expected in the coming weeks. Until completion of the transaction, Arvato and ATC Computer Transport & Logistics will remain two independent companies, continuing their day-to-day business as usual.
