AON member, GD-iTS Group drives sustainability forward with electric fleet expansion

May 28, 2025

G. van Doesburg International Transport BV has introduced a fully electric Volvo truck into its fleet, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward sustainable, zero-emission logistics. This development aligns with the company’s long-term environmental goals and offers customers a cleaner transport alternative.

The newly acquired Volvo truck is powered by an advanced 540 kWh lithium-ion battery system and equipped with three electric motors delivering a continuous output of 490 kW. With a focus on both performance and sustainability, this electric vehicle offers a quiet, emission-free solution that supports eco-conscious supply chain operations across Europe.

“This truck is not only silent and powerful—it actively contributes to our sustainability ambitions and those of our customers,” said a company spokesperson. “We’re proud to lead the way in embracing cleaner transport technologies.”

The adoption of electric trucks is part of the GD-iTS Group’s broader strategy to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. By investing in electric mobility, the company is reinforcing its role as an innovative and responsible logistics partner.
