Allianz announces executive promotions and new underwriting hire for North American aviation team

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) announced today that its North American Aviation team has promoted two executives and hired a new underwriting specialist, effective immediately.

Lamont Rosemond has been promoted to Regional Head of Aviation Programs and Product Development in North America. He reports to Dave Warfel, Regional Head of Aviation, North America. Based in Alpharetta, Rosemond supports and implements strategic product development and growth initiatives. He is also responsible for managing programs, as well as developing and maintaining strong broker and client relationships within the Aviation line of business. Rosemond joined AGCS in 2014 and has 15 years of aviation underwriting experience. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and is also a licensed private pilot.

Joshua Ray has been promoted to General Aviation Team Leader, Eastern Region. He reports to Dave Watkins, Regional Aviation Product Leader. Based in Alpharetta, Ray handles complex underwriting placements and strategies within the Eastern Region. He joined AGCS in 2008 and has over 23 years of aviation insurance industry experience as an underwriter and broker from general aviation to major products manufacturers’ risks. Ray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management/Flight Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology and has been an active pilot since 1989.

Peter Falcone has joined AGCS as an Underwriting Specialist, reporting to Ray. Falcone joins from AIG Aviation in Atlanta where he was a Senior Underwriter primarily serving the southeastern US. Previously, he was a broker at Willis Towers Watson as well as a Senior Client Services Manager with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Falcone has a Master’s Degree in Risk Management from New York University.

They are recognized leaders in the industry whose expertise will help propel AGCS Aviation to greater heights in the years ahead,” said Warfel. “We are also delighted to welcome Pete to our team. His impressive experience on both the aviation underwriting and broker side will help AGCS further support the evolving needs of our North American aviation clients.”
